Cooterdoodle delivers three players who are her favorite fantasy football targets, My Guys, for the coming season.

You want me to plant my flag? Oh, I'll plant it. I'll plant it three times.

I've got three "My Guys" for you. But I'm not just falling in love with the obvious, top-tier players. Anyone can love Jahmyr Gibbs and Ja'Marr Chase.

Instead, I've given myself a challenge. My three My Guys have to be different. Each of them has to vary in three aspects.

  • Age
  • Player Position
  • ADP

Let's get started.

Introducing Cooterdoodle's My Guys for 2026 Fantasy Football

My Guy #1: The Disrespected Veteran

DET_lions-logo.svg Jared Goff | QB | Lions

Age: Veteran (31)
Position: QB
Consensus ADP: 117.1

While everyone is debating over whether or not Kyler Murray's ADP is too high, I have my sights set on one of the most consistent QBs in the league.

Jared Goff loves to produce top-5 QB numbers. It's … kind of his thing.

2025

  • 2nd yards (4,564)
  • 2nd TDs (34)

2024

  • 2nd yards (4,629)
  • 4th TDs (37)

2023

  • 2nd yards (4,575)
  • 4th TDs (30)

2022

  • 6th yards (4,438)
  • T-5th TDs (29)

Yet despite the consistency, Goff continually gets disrespected in the ADP streets!

If we are already projecting top-10 fantasy numbers from two of Goff's top weapons (like Gibbs and Amon-Ra St. Brown), why are we treating him like a questionable QB. Sure, he won't get you 10 rushing TDs, but his top-5 (top-2 upside) passing ceiling makes his Round 10 price tag an absolute steal.

Goff is soooo My Guy this year. Which is why I even pitched him to Matthew Berry for his 2026 Ride or Die candidate.

My Guy #2: Sky-High Sophomore

Age: Sophomore (22)

Position: TE

Consensus ADP: 41.4

Hopes are sky highhhh for Mr. Colston Loveland this year. And why wouldn't they be?

In his rookie season, he flashed as TE2 or better in four games. He's shown that he's capable of being a big playmaker on Chicago's offense that saw a resurgence last season.

What's more exciting is how his role expanded in Chicago during their final five games. Loveland saw a 29% target share during that span, and usage in Chicago has made it clear that he's capable of putting up 90-yard games with TDs to boot.

Loveland is currently projected to surpass his rookie numbers with a 2026 projection of 79-912-8, making him Fantasy Life's consensus TE3 behind only Brock Bowers and Trey McBride.

Drafting a TE at pick 41 might feel steep, until you realize what you're paying for. High price—High upside.

Say it with me: We love Ben Johnson's TEs!

My Guy #3: Last-Round Rookie

Age: Rookie (22)

Position: WR

Consensus ADP: 211.4

Every year, I like to have my eye on a late-round prize. The stakes are low. The expectations are high. And if it pays off: DOPAMINE RUSH!

Last season, it was Tory Horton, who did flash a few times but ultimately played through an injury and missed most of the season.

But this year, it's unequivocally Ja'Kobi Lane. I cannot scroll for more than 10 minutes online without seeing a Lane highlight.

The Ravens reporters love him. The fans love him. The best ball bros convinced me to take him in the last round of a Pitbull with Peter Overzet last week.

And with all of the consistency surrounding Lane's hype this offseason, I'll gladly plant my flag on a late-round rookie with a "long catch radius" and "large hands," who has been compared to Michael Thomas and who is attached to Lamar Jackson.

Maybe you think I'm planting my flag too deep on Ja'Kobi Lane. And to that, I say: Fine.
